Nice clean book to a soldier who started his military service with 4/Inf.Erf.Batl.304 ending up with 2./JR.529 fighting in Russia, part of the 6th Army on its way to Stalingrad. He was killed at the train station in Briausk on the 21/2/43 by bomb splinter. Found with this book is a 1940 dated photo of Pfau in uniform and visor and a photo postcard of his grave in Russia. Heer Steel Belt Buckle and Leather Tab, 1940.
A very nice example with the steel buckle having around 90% of its period green finish, the back is stamped to the maker ''HK''. The leather tab is dated 1940 and maker marked to Hermann Knoller. read more
1950's British Intelligence Corps Officers Beret.
Its a nice private purchase example by Gieves of Savile Row. Yes im afraid there is a number of moth nips to the outer material. The cap badge has allways been attached going by the shadow left at the back of the badge and the same inside to the back of the pin. read more
WW2 British Wardens Helmet.
The shell has a nice amount of its black finish to the outside and the toned ''W'' is 95% complete. The inside has a good amount of its early British Army finish, helmet shel is maker marked and dated 1939. The 1940 dated liner is shot! and its lost its top pad folks but its a nice display item and the sort of example that use to come out of garden sheds in good numbers years back. read more
British 1917 Dated Leather Compass Pouch.
In good condition, supple leather and tight stitching around the body. Closer strap has lost a retaining loop and will not take another few days in the trenches but for display its just fine. It has a clear makers mark and 1917 date and its named twice. read more
Norwegian Krag M56 Bayonet.
Modified Norwegian bayonet for use with the American M1 and M2 Carbines. The condition is very good with the blade having nearly all its factory finish as does the top hilt. Blade is marked to one side with the Norwegian cypher. Wooden grips are in nice condition. The steel scabbard has a nice amount of finish with the top green webbing and strap in good order. read more
