German POW, Internment Camp, Wooden Framed Plaque, Paderborn. 1946.
Produced in 1946 by members of hut 6 for a fellow prisoner on his 25th wedding anniversary whilst being held in Staumhule internment camp, Paderborn. The back has his fellow hut members signatures and camp details. This camp was set up by the British Occupation army of the Rhine to hold suspected war criminals, NSDAP and State officials. Obviously made ''in house'' for use by a serving soldier. The machine stitch work is a professionally tailored as seen by the neck to the hood and seams along the shoulder area but for some reason the four button holes, the velcro fasteners to the bottom sleeves and the inside edging. A very nice clean condition barathea jacket with no moth holes or tracking that i can find. Both top pockets have the fasten down snaps to the corners and all Kings Crown brass buttons are present. British Rescue Helmet, 1938 Dated.
This helmet was once an early army issued example evident by the inside and chinstrap bale color. The black finish i would rate at over 75% complete with an overall mix of rust bleed showing through. Both white letter ''R'' have been hand painted over a stencil, they both rate at over 95% complete. 19th Centuary Three Draw Pocket Telescope.
Super little pocket telescope that needs some ''TLC'' . condition as found is very nice with the body covered in finely worked ''Baleen'' with hangers either end for a strap. The brass ends still have the original bright factory guilding without wear. No dents to the three draw tubes and no makers details.
