WW1 RFC KIFA British War Medal. Cardiff.

2nd lieutenant Vincent Clarke Lashford was born in Cardiff 1893, one of 13 children. He immigrated to Canada in 1912. 1917 he enlisted in the Canadian officers training Corps transferring to the RFC in Fort Worth Texas. Lashford was commissioned and posted to 120 Squadron. In 1918 he was in England to complete his training but tragically killed whilst flying a RE8 biplane being shot by an observer whilst undergoing aerial gunnery practice, one of his last flights before being shipped out to France. This medal came from a local house clearance here in Cardiff recently and it's my opinion his only entitlement, perhaps also entitled to the Canadian Mothers Cross but not found during the clearance I sorry to say.
