KIA RAF Wireless Operator-Gunner Log Book and Medal Grouping. Lost 1940.

Nice grouping to a SGT R.C.Bishop from Haverfordwest, mid Wales, who was lost when his Wellington bomber failed to return from an operation on the 23/11/1940. Grouping consisting of his log book, 16 completed operations with 214 Squadron, last page with hand written " Death Presumed 24.11.40". There is a very clean parchment RAF certificate of Service with full details, discharge put as " killed in action". Also found is the logbook KIA compliment slip named to Bishop. The unissued medals consist of his Air Crew Europe medal with 39/45 star and war medal and medal slip named to Bishop. Bishop had two other brothers in service, one brothers medal group with dog tag can also be found with this grouping. A very nice and poignant set that I managed to purchase locally many years back from a member of the family. Bishop had a cousin serving in 214 Squadron who was also lost during operations.
