Early WW2 Production M4 Bayonet. CASE.

From what i can gather going by many forum on the old internet this M4 bayonet for the M1 carbine produced by the firm CASE is manufacture example with the stacked leather washer handle, not the cut grooves and what would be expected on M3 fighting knife. The smooth dark parkerized finish is about 80% complete with wear mainly to the front and that white line sharpening to the cutting edge. The cross guard and end cap has close to 100% finish with the end cap having ''S'' over ''I'' stamp just under the tang. As mentioned the handle is formed from different sized leather washers that are in very nice condition with no dents or scrapes and no evidence of dryness. Front of the cross guard has sharp and deep struck stamps for US M4 CASE. The M8A1 scabbard is a very nice condition WW2 manufacture example by the firm Beckwith with painted steel belt hanger, B3/0N stamp under the side of the throat, United Carr snap fastener with steel painted tip to the end of the strap. Lastly the scabbard has a clear mark, ''VP over 33'' Victory Plastics which was a subsidiary of Beckwith Mfg. As for the bottom leather leg rope i would not be able to say if period or not but all i can say it looks very good and would not surprise me at all if period to the scabbard!
