Black Flak EF66 M42 German Helmet.

The dent free shell has received a coat of mat black finish by brush over its period factory color. There is a certain amount of wear from use. The inside skirt has also had this black painted up to the liner frame. The inside crown area has its period factory finish. The liner is in very nice a lightly used supple condition with the owners name in pencil. The liner tie is its period example as is the maker and 1942 dated chinstrap with a period repair. All liner pins are tight and have never been removed, plenty of dust and other items stuck between the liner frame and helmet.This later produced helmet has the Lot number and makers details stamped to the back of the skirt, i can just make out the EF66 but the number is somewhat harder to read. In my opinion this helmet has always been together and is in unmessed with condition including the scarce black finish often recognized as being used by flak units. Its been in my collection for years but its time for it to find a new home!
