WW2 Hindenburg Cross, Cigarette Box Homemade Mount.

Well i must confess that i had this complete mount advertised on this website a number of years ago with an Iron Cross and WW1 Long Service Medal with no interest from collectors as it was being sold as a ''homemade'' mount. Naughty me decided to break up the group and guess what i found. The mount was made using a cut up WW2 German army cigarette box using a nice Prym marked safety pin for fixing that would not have been seen under the ribbons. As this was manufactured for mounting WW1 medals it would fit in nicely being made during WW2 by a veteran of the First War. The Hindenburg medal i have left as i found it. A cheaply made medal mount that im sure a collector will find interesting.
